Castle "Minart"

Posted by Alex on 08 Aug 2016, 15:12

I found in his country house set on "MiniArt" . Of course bought a long time, make the castle "from scratch" was obviously easier than sharpening and glue and many flat parts. (Later, I thought about it many times)
But I decided to limit itself in the choice of materials, still build it

I wanted to fix obvious flaws
-it is a toy
- It is not designed to defend as many vulnerable people,
- Bad sweep area in front of the gate
- For dry and hot climate (snow and rain - will make it very difficult to care facilities)
- The lack of loopholes, (available only teeth) implies a very poor preparation at the enemy archers
- The castle is too small
- Too "neat" "not alive"
So I decided to make it open, as it were, "in the section"
Add latrines (as without it?)
Make a goal to protect the flanks.
To provide for the presence of numerous roofs

that there is something "outside the box" I made shields with gargoyles in the form of a bull's head

to be continued... :-D :-D

As we can see you do the best you can. :yeah:
But as you very well described it is a toy.
I own two brig stone house of "MiniArt" too.
The problem for me is that they look unreal perfect if you build it.

I have the same castle, which I get as a present for my birthday last month from my youngest son. So I'm very curious what you will make of it in this set-up. The start looks very promesing and I will follow this with great interest! ;-)

I continue. :-D
Since the fortress corners here had no review, I added the tower of the old fortress Aerfiks. Of course, they are more like a rocket, so I made the necessary additions. :-D
Also, I did machicolations over the gate, and added to the roof of the tower. As a whole, I would like to look fort corresponded to weather conditions in my country, and externally - was a symbiosis of Russian, Byzantine and Western European architecture :winky:

-- an impressive transformation of a little bit boring castle-set. You have invest many thoughts and researches in this project - and nothing isn´t forget here. In which century should been your castle and your scenery?

Thank you !
It is about 12-13 century by the level of technological development. But because this castle for my fantasy Army (medieval legion), I allow myself a little imagination and improvements in architecture and .tak, warm inside the fortress is planned for the winter barracks, with a dining room and a bedroom on the 2nd floor. From this building will overground passage in the middle tower with latrines. Along the walls are also located Insulated stalls for the horses of the garrison.

I love to see how you turned that whole building into a typical Russian style castle with high pointed towerroofs.
