Kostis :-D :yeah: :notworthy:

Bit by bit you are becoming the true master of our forum when it comes to miniature painting, converting and the building of objects. Also your photography is excellent.
It may sound a bit strange, but I am very proud of you.

Do you mean they celebrate a holiday or that she is no widow yet?

It is always a pleasure to look at the pictures of your wonderful works. In my opinion, your figures and accessories not only prove great skill, but almost more of passion and devotion. You create objects that stimulate me to dream . This is very reassuring.

I hope I'll be able to see more than just the photos someday... ;-)

My dear friends,
Eric, PhilC, Mr. Cryns, Torsten, Das_Dirch thank you so much for your kind words. :-D

Dear mr. Cryns, my dio's theme is the return of my grandfather from the battle of Skra. The old lady is supposed to be his widow mother. During joyful events, widows were wearing white head scarfs and not the ordinary mourning black.

Kostis, I'm a newbie in the forum, but I agree with the rest of the guys, it's a proud to meet a modeler like you.
The cart is incredible, how you made the effect of worn paint over the wood. And your great-grandmother have not words...we were not there when you garnd phater come back, but you catch spirit of the mother dignity (i can't find the porpper english words for that, sorry) . You catch the expression perfectly.
Waiting anxious the next step.

Most true is the fact that some tiny figure, can inspire greater works from the artist.
In this case a head borrowed, and a body well set up to receive it.
A lovely conversion that brought your feelings to mind ,before ,during and after its formulation.
Now painted we get to share a glimmer of the past with you. Thanks for posting BB

Well it looks like I have to paint only the base anymore.
The last figure is my grandpa.
When I'll post the finished dio in gallery the tittle will be " My grandpa".

A wonderful scene. I'm moved to tears a bit. I think, everyone can well imagine the overwhelming feelings at this moment...

And the flying Kostis in its big diapers is so cute... :winky:! Or is it your daddy?

Thank you Eric.
The face is a copy of Alex's (Royal family). I just saved him and gave him a haircut. :-D
The baby is from the same set but I dremeled the skirt and also gave her a haircut, so the baby represent a boy now.

There are lots of pictures that have disappeared and I hope that this is not perminent ,because it would be a shame to spoil such an open ended topic of your family`s history.
Love the figure pose, and your painting.
