Animals

I think they fit very nice together. I didn't buy the set for the boar, I bought it for the dogs! :-D And the rest of the figures. Maybe I will do something with them in the future.

Only little has succeeded me in the past weeks due to lack of time and motivation :(. But at least I can report something about my attempts to profile myself as a painter of figures.

The step 2 in my sheepdog design was the optical reinforcement of the structure of fur.

Now it's time to be patient again because the color must dry...

That dog looked good in the last pics you posted, It looks even better now.

Your episodic bear is coming along very nicely too. The bow legged gait of the front legs looks just right. you are a very good observer.

Those of you who have observed the development of my designs in this thread hopefully could noticed I always try to build animals in a way that they can be put into their proper context. Loner go solitary, herd animals get family and relations.

Of course, my Scottish highland bull can also expect to get cows and calves. Currently three females and one calf are in production. My intention is to create attitudes that are very natural and lively. It is still a long way to the completion, but I would like to show you gladly the basis of the growing small herd.

-15° and more at night!
The crowd stay at a cold white surface. And the most of the Scottish highlands look shaved.
Strange methods to harden the good looking stuff.

The German Shepherd , Looks Great in its colour scheme.
I guess others see it much better because they have a much better colour spectrum then i ?
I realize Mr .Cryns has most certainly, and in his mention there is no slight intended on my part.
In fact it is ment as a compliment to our member with fluffed up bunny ears. :-D

As an author I often leave a topic due to mind block! A lack of motivation I aptly call,`Black Dog', but return to it later with a much more alert imagination that motivates the flow both in writing and model making display. So it is good to have plenty of other options of work to keep one active, and best of all at play. One therefore must have a stash of differing themes and ideas to call back upon. The old saying,"Irons in the fire",comes to mind.____The little paper gun saw me return to `Ships Guns',and a another new topic of the Asterix house, which are my distraction and rest from,`Black Dog',which is the only way i can explain it,in order to softly encourage you all in my own way.
:sst: "bb,is very eccentric in his ways, but it works for him." :-D That`s right

Your other animals all Hearders who like plenty of company,` apart from maybe the Bear', have a proven shape of differing sizes that fit together nicely. You my friend are doing well. BB

Andreas, generally i try to take suggestions from you in my work because i think you know very well what is important. But with regard to your commentary of today i must say you have left three things out of attention  .

1. The Highland cattle looks very often "cut off" at the rear, especially when it's standing. I even think it's a major feature of her appearance :eh: .

Image

2. In case of calf and cows the region of the approach of tail is not yet modeled, which of course leaves an effect...

3. The fur must still be "laid" on the basis. Thus individual heights on the animal are still changing. Where the fur is longer, the relief becomes even deeper than on short hair.

I am sure you will recognize a highland cattle after conclusion of work ;-).

So i am right , it looks cut straight at the end . That was not critical at all...
I think its better for me not to comment or disturb your Topic .
Best Regards
Andreas

It is so strange the way things turn :(. But I have done something every day, very little, but each day. And after a long time today i can present a new dog breed again.

The Irish Wolfhound.
