Thank you for your attention ! :-D

Another batch of this artillery crew ready to fight, all the colors are Vallejo.

The Uniform is blue 70809 with wash and drybrush, all the 70909 red part are first painted in white, for the officers those details are gold (70801 Laiton).

ammunition pouch : black, with gold eagle (70801 Laiton, painted white first, I'm always doing this for this color as well as the red).

-sword scabbard : Laiton 70801
-The Sabretache : blue 70809 with red 70909 around, not to forget the gold eagle.
-The telescope is laiton 70801 and the front side is made of wood 70875 beige brown (so the metal doesn't tick to the skin when it's too cold)

the tools for artillery:
-bucket : brown 70875 with wash and drybrush, and 70864 Natural Steel for metal parts
-The stick to push the ball to the bottom of the barrel : 70822 brown and black .
the stick to light the black powder : 70864 Natural Steel and red.
-cannonballs are black.

The saber hilt is 70801laiton and the blade is Citadel color 61-55 Mithril silver (not Vallejo).

The whip is 70847 dark sand with a black wash only.
Boots are black with a red line (70909)

the spurs and strap of the riders are 70864 Natural Steel for the first and 70940 saddle brown for the second

The bearskin is black with red 70909, Laiton 70801, the round insignia is white, red 70909 and 70899 prusia blue, this blue dot is so small that it's hard to see, but it's there.

Your modelling skills as displayed on that cupola are incredibly accomplished in my opinion.

The patience and thinking behind the techniques is astounding.

However, personally, I still think that the addiction to painting eyes is potentially undermining your Herculean work.

I use a brown umber wash, sparingly, flicking out any excess and the results work for me .

Mr Crynns put me on to this and, as usual, he was correct.

Best wishes,

Chris

I always deeply appreciate your support ! :-D

Here come the last cupola (not the easiest one !!!), made like the previous ones with Milliput applied on wood, you will understand my proceeding on photos, I've got now the 11 cupolas and they will be painted before assembled, but not now, time to start the core of this building with a lot of others complicated shapes with different material, it's time consuming but the result worth it. It will be a masterpiece in the game !

Wow, ADM
after all this I have no idea what to expect for the whole basilique. Just too impressive already. To complete Krasnaja Ploschchad (in English the "Red square"?) you would also need to model the Kremlin. No need for Lenin's mausoleum and GUM though
The painting of the cuppolas will also be quite a task. Just wow

Tous mes encouragements
Michael
