[Konrad]

The last centurie is not a complete unit.
The legionaries march on their positions.
The centurio gives orders.
The optio supports him.
Later more legionaries came from the side to join the formation.
So the work on the legionaries comes to an end.
Now i paint the rest of the officers,standartbearers etc..
I think the dio is ready for the next FIGZ.

Hi Konrad, Wonderful effort,and painting.
You are indeed a Top Man.
You set a Goal and go for it which earns my respect.

The story behind the meaning of Top Man,goes way back to Pre-Napoleonic times
aboard H M S Ships of the Line. It was the highly prized men who could reach the very dizzy heights of the main mast. These guys were something special upon the rigging labouring hard with wet rope, and sail against the hard biting wind.It was they who were constantly stationed on lookout way at the top.

I look forward to seeing the odds and ends presented here later,and I guess you might well need your eyes resting after such an ordeal of laboured love painting hundreds of figures. Respect.

Believe it or not, first I've noticed beautiful static grass on last pictures. Which brand do you use?

Sorry my friend,but this is not really static gras.
It is the gras from NOCH.
But you're a right,it looks great,eh!

A word to my bases.
I am a figpainter,not a gardener.
I saw some fantastic bases here over the years.
And Konrad does always his boring gras.
But if i want..check this.

There is nothing wrong with a nice and green grass cover of the ground IMHO. In particular in this case where it gives a good contrast with the fantastic color scheme of the figures.
But I would have thought that this Noch stuff is static, too: I think it is the same type of plastic fibers that is usually sold as "static".
