After finishing the cavalry ... they are not so good , as hoped they'll get..

Image

this is nearly, how i want to use them on the dio ... (they arrive at the scene, the gate is opened by a chasseur an they immidiately start their attack) ..

i coloured the last parts of the wall...

... uuuuppppss .. this took a long time ...

The reason .. after the first Adjustment , i wasn't happy about the cavalry..

Image

that's why i changed my mind .. no cavalry ... but some more french infantry .. and also some prussian and bavarian infantry on the attack ...

But i still have many things to do ...

Looks good so far. At first I thought you titled your subject with the wrong year, as those forces looked like they might be from the 1807 period, not 1870. I guess that is why the French lost.

nice process, rare theme! I am curious to follow your project. I think your scenery and actions will been great. Only I don´t understand the site of the cannons - partly behind the ruin and eventually not well bind to the other fields of action.

You're correct :yeah: .. normally the artillery would 1-2 km behind the frontlines ... even the the "Mitrailleuse" .. because they were assigned to the artillery at the beginning of the Franco-Prussian-War ..

My thoughts were .. the Prussian troops broke through the frontline and the artillery wasn't able to escape from their position .. and the different fleeing infantry troops (there are Line Infantry, "Guard Mobile", "Chasseure", Husars ) try to defend their guns...

An interesting project. I like your idea to use the building for FPW! And you give us really interesting informations and photos.
And I would like to recommend you some shading and dirt of your soldiers which will make them still more convincing.

as i wrote in another thread.. Hagen will start to produce some more french soldiers..

and Massimo will make some Prussian soldiers too.. first of all he made some different heads (helmets) to change the new figures for different german troops ..

Image

he made 3 different kind of guns .. and 1 of these Heads is the helmet of a Prussian Cuirassier... which will also be produced..
