That's a lot o' Shermans, my friend. Use them wisely.

Remember, more Shermans, more responsibility ˇ-ˇ

And by the way, how much Jap Airplanes do you plan to do, and when did you buy Tony Stark's garage to put that diorama in? :)

Are you going to base your figures? The sheer numbers cry out for multiple figure stands.

Great project BTW

Figures will be left individual, it allow more different story and flexibility, their number is still manageable. And for Zirrian, a lot of sherman is needed to confront hundreds of pillbox and japanese bunker made of palm trunk, Japan had few light tanks easy to knock out but so many protected entrenchment with artillery was a real problem, so, many tanks are necessary.

I'm trying a test with some closer view from photos I cut.

Well, the girl in green probably kissed a pilot because her makeup on her lips went around  it's terrible to see so close, you can see things hard to see with naked eyes !

Thank you mates !
I'm starting with 9 M4A2 sherman from Heller because I will have the extra parts for the others models if needed.
First of all I have to say that I'm positively surprised by this model, every part fit perfectly together, easy and fast to build, nothing to compare with some more difficult old Heller models, it clearly rank among the best 1/72 Sherman models available today because of so many options in the box.
There's 2 type of wheels, one model with holes inside (on sprue) and another with plain surface (built here), it's a welcome variation and both of them are perfect for a PTO (Pacific Theater of Operation) M4A2 Sherman as you can see here :

One important thing to mention about the Heller sherman I've just discovered, the upper hull can't properly fit the lower part unless you cut 2 useless and ill located pegs (Center, rear), you can see them on the first photo, it's eliminated in the second photo, and like this there's no problem anymore, the hull parts fit perfectly as you can see in photo 3 and 4. If you don't do this modification there's a gap between the hull parts and it could be a nightmare to fill it due to the specific location. Anyway this model is still great and easy to build !

Some photos of the first Heller sherman finished, there's 2 set of tracks inside each box (representing metal or rubber tracks), a blessing for me because those tracks are top quality and I will use them for others models (probably esci if it fit well) :clapping: and I will also change some options from one Heller sherman to another because there's really an unlimited choice concerning so many small or big parts, I'm amazed by this huge choice :thumb:

Hi buddy, the Sherman looks really good, may I ask you how much you have payed for it? Here in my city there's only one shop which sells Heller's M4s and they are quite expensive
Nice work indeed, I can't wait to see the finished model

The Heller Sherman is definitly the best Sherman model I've ever built (I tried them all) and also the cheapest model you can find, which is amazing because it's made in France and not made in China, I bought it directly from the manufacturer here :

http://www.heller.fr/en/maquettes/scale ... 98944.html

http://www.heller.fr/en/maquettes/new-p ... 98920.html

Shipping prices are reasonable, with one of them you can represent nearly all of them for the same version, and those familiar with the Sherman know how much diversity it represent !!!

I'm still working on these Sherman :D , 9 Heller M4A2 are ready for painting  , I've added crates, bags and some other stuff as it usually happen to vehicules landing on a beach, most of the time fully loaded with anything they can carry, except maybe for some few of the first wave combat ready and fighting on the beach. I've bought these items on ebay, 1/72 SGTS'Mess and SHQ (White metal), Black dog and Value Gear (resin). I really appreciate this quality of resin, top of the top and not smelly !!! The figure come from Hat (American Tank riders) The tracks will be installed after painting, it just fit perfectly with or without glue.

Thank you KenzoSato, I've just finished 6 more Heller sherman with deep wading gear, they will be part of the first wave landing on the beach to give more punch to the Marines !

Thank you mates :D , more sherman ready for painting, the 2 UM Shermans with dozer blade are clearly not for beginners, there's hardly 2 parts properly fitting each others, you need to cut, trim, sand and adjust everything, it require a lot of extra work (not to mention photo etch parts) but at least you get the result you want. the Dragon Sherman are much more fast and easy to build and everything fit perfectly.

yes, growing and now ready for painting !

I converted the Esci M4A1 Sherman into a composite hull (Hybrid), the transformation is easy with few change and the Heller tracks fit perfectly, a lot of these Shermans were sent to the Pacific theater of operation. the next step is the painting, I will explain step by step my method so anybody could do the same if they wish.
