Tannenberg 1410

Posted by Leonid Kireev on 17 Jan 2021, 21:08

Polish-Lithuanian army.
Polish cavalry.
Figures from:
Italeri, Set 6026 French Knights and Foot Soldiers (http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=378);
RedBox, Set 72046 Scurrers (http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=1348);
RedBox, Set 72108 Scottish Light Cavalry (http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=2519).
For Grunwald, the last two sets are not quite suitable, for 40-50 years)) But in general, they go well with their more "older colleagues").
And I was looking for French soldiers from Italeri for 10 years. Recently this company reissued these sets for a plywood fortress) This is the last set that I did not have, from those that historically go back to the beginning of the 15th century.

I second that. Those RedBox figs of the War of the Roses range are good sculpts imho.

The figure on the left: Mars, Set 72062 Polish Siege Bombard. I glued him a sword in a scabbard and will use it as a wounded dismounted warrior. http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=2137

Nice paintings in your beautiful style, Leonid

The sculpts are kind of .. umph.. but doesn't matter. This was discussed many times.
I am always impressed with your shield designs. Do you actually research them?
Greetings
Michael

Very nice! And I think there are not too many that can make those Marsians look good, but you made them look beautiful!

Hello everyone!
Peter wrote:Nice addition to your army! Smart conversion with that sword! :thumbup:

Thank you! This figure is very well suited for a wounded warrior, not an artilleryman.

Thanks! Yes, of course, I was looking for information with coats of arms that fit this battle. But I did not conduct a very deep study of the topic.

Thank you! But this is not the worst set of Mars figures)

Those are brilliant figures. Your distinctive style is flat-out impossible to miss.

But I never, ever get tired of it. Bold colors, accessories well detailed and with perfect color selection, and metals that quite simply look like the real thing.

And all that with Mars figures. You do like a challenge...

Oh, thanks a lot! Glad to hear that!
But I think this is the best set of "Mars" on the Grunwald theme. These are not the worst figures)
