Most impressive, and very neatly packaged! I am also impressed that you know exactly what you have in your collection. Mine, I'm afraid, is less well organised and more of a guesstimate....

I really should set some time aside for a stock-take.

Impressive collection. The next question is: how many unpainted ones you have in boxes at home...? ;-)

Superb collection going on there, and so well organised! Must be quite relaxing just to able to look over the collection from time to time and marvel at how much has been painted.

Or, putting it in another perspective, looking at the collection and thinking "how much time and money did I put into this lot!!? :eh: "*
I could be a concert pianist if I´d spent the time learning the Piano, a PhD scientist if I´d have studied some sort of science. Even Half the time painting etc spent just doing overtime or a second job* and I´d be able to afford a decent car and have money left over. The books I could have read!!
Still, all gone now

*and that´s not including 100 houses, a couple of castles, dios and the other stuff painted for other people. It takes ca. 5 hours just to create one house. One!!! Just one!! :eh:
Half of that comes out at 200 plus hours just for the buildings. I won´t even dare to do the calculation on that for an average wage.
Worse yet. The amount of stuff I´ve binned. :eh: I´ve got a shoebox near to full of painted bods, nags etc, Projects that never got anywhere.
Buildings I´ve scrapped. Also, I can´t find my Celtic cavalry and chariots (about 50 of them) and I know there´s other stuff somewhere in the celler but I can´t remember what. :eh: :eh:

This is a really impressive collection, my old friend.
It's true.
How many hours, how much money and how much passion.
But I haven't missed anything.
I love our lovely hobby and hope that I can paint for many years to come.
But we're kind of crazy,eh? :-D

Arcade Fire has a song that says something about getting all the time back that we wasted.

So that we can waste it again. Paul, I consider it time well spent indeed.

If you had fun you didn-t wasted time...That is nice collection...When you make something nice you didn't waste time... Wasting time is when you do something that has no logic, something that makes you feel bad...And this doesn't make none of us bad...I love painting...I remember I came home after chemotherapy, pain in stomach for 4 days and what I do...I paint...The concentration is so great I feel pain no more because I do something that relaxes me....

After all money is to spend...None of us is Scrooge McDuck...This is entusiasm...I woke up in 4 AM in my sister apartment in Belgrade, spent 2 hours drinking a bottle of Sprite, got out in 6 AM out walked main street and waited from 7AM to 8AM in KFC for book shop to open so I can buy a metal figure of knight...

How true
We spend time on our hobby. As long as we have a good time modelling, time is not wasted. It does me good for sure.
Me , I started painting and collecting when due to travelling a lot for my job I was often tired and sat stoned in front of the teli. Then I remembered an old child passion and collecting began. Like for most of us my backlog has grown over the years. To my wife ´s question « why do you buy more when you haven’t painted the pile? » I answer with a big smile. Collector passion. Only collectors understand
....but I’m lucky, my family is understanding, or better say they accept
Long live figs, bods, or to me bonhommes collecting and painting!!
