My latest purchase

Posted by Peter on 10 Feb 2009, 22:38

Hey Dykio. Seems to me that this are fair prices. Bought two months ago a set of Airfix: cost 4.9 euro. And one Revell set: cost 7 euro.

Greetings Peter

Managed to go to Stockholm this Saturday. There is a seller that I've bought from before. Last time I was there and asked about Hat and other figs he said that he wasn't going to sell that shit (his words) anymore. But now when I was there he had lots of Zvezda, Airfix, Revell, Italeri, some Miniart, some Waterloo 1815 and even a box of Strelets R's Carolingian Cavalry. I ended up buying Zvezda's French Knights (http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=795), English knights of the 100-years war (http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=1166), Medieval Peasant Army (http://www.bennosfigures.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1146) and Airfix's WWI RHA (http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=621). Some of the medievals I can press into service at Gata Forest and the RHA was most for nostalgic reasons (but I can probably use them somewhere too.) :-D Stockholm isn't far, but we've been busy and now we're going to be busy with a little puppy so it will be some time before we can go again.

The last sets I´ve bought, were the medieval peasants by zvezda. (three times) I know someone, who works for Tamiya in Germany. And they are also main distributor for other brands like Zvezda. So I could get those peasants quite cheap. About 4,20 Euro and no shipping costs.

He lives in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, the town where I work. So I can visit him after work and get my stuff. If he had to ship the stuff, the advantage would be rather small.

Well today I bought 2 packets of Airfix NATO Ground Crew, the new Italieri WW2 US Infantry, 4 x paint pots (2 x Humbrol and 2 x Tamiya) and a 0.2mm pen with which to experiment in black-lining.

I also recently bought the Revell combination set that had an A34 Comet and British paras.
