Hi Peter, it seems that it's on a base of clay and some other ingredients. You can wipe it off with a moisturised kitchen paper, so they say. I will try it out soon.

Thanks for the referral, I'll pick one up for a nice Japanese head.

Just got some metal celts, Indians and Han Chinese from Newline designs. More ancients on the table!

Been drooling over those new Prussian Cavalry sets from Strelets for quite some time so I went on a shopping spree! First shop: Yes, he's got them! But wait! I want the two sets of working dogs from Stenfalk too and he's just got one. Hmmm, another shop! He's got the dogs (both sets) and a cute bear family too! Hmm, but not those cavalry sets .... but he did have the American militia from 1812, Prussian Landwehr standing and Ceasar's Crusaders. Yes! Buy that! And did! Back to first shop ... Ah, yes! Toma's Native American's are nice. Hmm, maybe find a better price somewhere else ... Yes! A very better price. But he doesn't sell Strelets. Bah, I'll buy the natives and some of Kamar's Templars too. Ooops! Overreached the budget ... The Prussian Cavalry? Hmm, no. Will have to wait for the next shopping spree.

I've wanted to pick up some minis from Hagen-Miniatures for quite some time because of their excellent Ancients and Medieval range. Finally picked up:

An entire Ming army from the Imjin War, the Emperor's court, the generals, Imperial lifeguards, crossbowmen, heavy spearmen, gunners, Rocket launchers.

Korean heavy infantry

Burgundian pikemen, generic pikemen, handgunners

Qing dynasty heavy infantry

Two units of Sokotho Caliphate heavy cavalry.

That's probably a decade of painting for me...

The rarest Strelets Crimean War big box, finally here from Italy :)

Now only the French Cavalry and arty to get, but some metal Franco-Prussian war figures can stand in.

Among them is a figure of Alex for comparison. We must keep in mind that the average height of Neanderthals was about 160 cm. :-D
These figures have character for sure!
I found them here: https://vk.com/market-12442911 :-D

This should keep me busy until Strelets releases their WSS cavs sets. Finding 1:72 buildings has also been tricky (unless WW2 is your thing).

Wow! Been drooling over that one for a while. But since I have all the figures I haven't bought it. Can you show some pics of the buildings? I have seen Italeri's own pics, but since they want to sell I don't trust them all teh way. :-D

Disclaimer: work in progress. It is the first MDF building I put together but assembly was pretty straightforward. The removable roof is partly cardboard which seemed a bit weird to me but the results isn't too bad.
