Archie Andrews was the name of the dummy used by ventriloquist Peter Brough.
I've always found it strange that in the 1950s a ventriloquist had a very popular radio show, Educating Archie, with the number of listeners an average of 15 million.
A later TV series, Here's Artchie, revealed that Brough was perfectly suited to radio work as his lips were frequently seen to move.
Archie was retired in 1961
Back on subject, I've received word from Sean at Newline that he will be producing 20mm Austrian Generals by the Xmas sale.
Thanks for the links Graeme
