Archie

This refers to Archduke Charles aka Erzherzog Karl Ludwig Johann Joseph Lorenz von Österreich, Herzog von Teschen and not to anyone with the surname Bunker or confused with WW1 AAA.

My original question has been buried under several buildings so I will repeat it here.

Does anyone do a good 1/72 or 20mm figure of him?

Incidentally, WWI AAA is hard to find in 1/72 too.

Archie Bunker was a very poor recast of Alfred Edward "Alf" Garnett (Played by Warren Mitchell) in cheap plastic

Maybe you can post a picture of Archie here, so we can make some suggestions. And then I promise not to post a picture of Archie Bunker! ;-)

Strelets does a figure of Archduke Charles, unfortunately dismounted.

If you think the face on this figure looks OK you could use it for a head swap with a mounted figure, perhaps from the Italeri Austrian Command set.

You could come close to recreating that bottom picture in overcoat by changing the head on a spare Italeri Napoleon.

This always fool me! I always think of the comic-character Archie Andrews https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archie_Andrews and think Carlos is up to something. :-D

Archie Andrews was the name of the dummy used by ventriloquist Peter Brough.

I've always found it strange that in the 1950s a ventriloquist had a very popular radio show, Educating Archie, with the number of listeners an average of 15 million.

A later TV series, Here's Artchie, revealed that Brough was perfectly suited to radio work as his lips were frequently seen to move.

Archie was retired in 1961

Back on subject, I've received word from Sean at Newline that he will be producing 20mm Austrian Generals by the Xmas sale.

Thanks for the links Graeme
