Vallejo white vs Games workshop white

I remember fews years ago around 2010 or 2011 I have painted some French HQ and I have used back than Games workshop colors. The result was decent, I think I have two Prussian grenadiers I have also painted with those colors, those were first two figures the Prussians I have painted with acrylics. Anyway I notice today how Games workshop white gives much better results than Vallejo white. So I want to advice with you guys should I get Games workshop white, since Vallejo white is really hard to work with...

I also want to say that other Vallejo colors are pretty easy to work with, the white is only color in Vallejo color range that is difficult to work with for me...

Well I don't know how to describe I can only say that Vallejo white if putted too much gives smudged look.

If using GW paints for white, I would use Ulthuan Grey for a base colour and then white scar for a highlight.

Short answer: my vote goes for GW white.

Long (boring answer): Vallejo has not 1 but several white paints (in Model and Game color ranges). Quality of that paints may vary. Not only between shades but between batches of the same shade. I used "pure" white but now I use Ivory and I'm much happier. But GW skull white was even better (in a way of easiness of use, coverage etc.). But that was earlier edition of GW paint. I think both companies don't produce their paint by themselves but they outsource paint production. And they change paint producers from time to time.

@Kekso- I think experimenting with white both of Vallejo and GWSHP will give me the answer what will give the best result. I plan to buy few Vallejo white paints than to buy some GWSHP paints so that I can see my self what is the best solution.

Well let me trow in a third one. Since some years I use Revell white instead of the GW Skull white. With a very decent result as you can see on my Arabian troops: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19091

Must admit that I've only ever used "off-white" which is definitely more than 'white' enough for anything I paint. I never have any particular problem with that.

I will start by saying that I often find that I am sentimental and often have emotional attachments. It took me a long time to switch away from some of my favorite enamel paints. Just for fun I got out a bottle of GW skull white I haven't used in a while since I have switched to Valleo white since it is so easy to squirt out a few drops as needed to paint or mix. It might be all emotions but I have to say I do prefer the old GW paint.

Vallejo Off-White has worked just fine for me.

Just some thoughts, used the above for years and now use Wargames foundry paints if I have the colour , White , I use their Austrian white pallet for base and shade and a pure white to highlight . Vallejo paints are much better if stored upside down, when you then use them you get a nice flat matt finish. I have always found Yellow to be the colour that causes the most frustration, no matter what brand, enamel or acrylic it often takes many coats to cover the primer/undercoat. GW pots in the past tend to dry out in the pot, the newer tubs are better, not experienced it yet with them ,but have less of them and rarely use them these days.
