Assyrian chariot nightmare

Posted by noel Campbell on 06 Nov 2007, 21:12

Is it just me, or are the Hat Assyrian chariots impossible to put together?
I've built Zvezda and Caesar chariots without any problem, but the Hat one's refuse to come together. Part of the problem seems to be the softness of the plastic. I usually like the stuff when painting figures but it does not seem the best plastic for this type of thing. PSR said that getting the four men into the Chariot is a tight fit, I'd say it's impossible, an act not helped by the actual act of trying to get the pegs on the mens feet into the holes in the floor of the Chariot. And don't talk to me about attaching the horses. I don't like being negative, but this is the first time in the hobby I've come across something that I just can't do. I have spent hours trying to make it work. Has anyone else had the same problem?

I had a similar problem with the HAT Napoleonic French ambulance... I assumed that my hands were the problem! :-D

Like many of these new hat wagons, they must be glued together. The plastic is glueable. I just just off the pegs and glued everything, and then it will work.
