French German War 1870/71

Posted by khde on 22 Nov 2013, 15:40

I am looking for th eright miniatures to start with the french german war 1870/71 in 28mm.

I know the foundry ones which are to knobbly for my taste and I know the 1866 range of northstar. But beside of these are there some others. What would you recommand? Or otherwise is ther someone also intersted in this conflict?

Cheers KHDE

Definitely interested.
But only in 1/72 scale, sorry.
Hard to believe, but one of the most significant and momentous wars of the early modern period is barely covered in 1/72 plastic so far.

So it comes that I'm still assembling the best matching troops. The Emhar sets are great, but they are only a starting point. Several metal manufacturers help to create the much needed diversity.

In any case, good luck with your project!
