Clear coat anyone?

Once a figure is completed, is it common to put a clear coat on it?

I have never done so, but was wondering what (if anything) most people do?

Never done it myself..but Deons idea with woodglue seems a good one. Just recently I´ve experimented with 54mm and giving them a coat of watered down woodglue (they were intended to "live" outside) and it worked fine..the very slightest of shine, but the colours were fine and the resulting surface very resistant.

I tend to use Testor's Dullcote (spray can): http://www.testors.com/product/0/1260T/ ... _Spray_Can. Usually I spray my figs in batches so as to not waste. I buy it when I have a 40% off coupon for Hobby Lobby, because it's not cheap.

IMHO though it's the best flat finish I've seen, at least for figures. Of course keep in mind that you'll have to touch up shiny parts (e.g. horses' eyes or armor highlights) after dullcoting....

It´s banned because of the solvent used.
The only alternative I have heard of is "Model Masters Italerie" '1560
