Questions

Attaching figures to a diorama.

Posted by JohnnyRockets on 09 Aug 2012, 14:25

Hi, I consider myself a newbie...

Thus all the questions.

And might I say, that I REALLY appreciate this forum.

Okay, now for the question:

I have painted several (8?) figures in 15mm that I would like to put in a diorama.

How should I do this? Attach the figures to the diorama and then "build up" the landscape around them?

Or is there a better "more obvious" way?

Thanks! :-)

I always make the landscape and then put the figures on. I think that is easier than build up the scene around the figures. But you can always try with one or two figures and a very small scene, does that work you can try bigger. And take pictures of your scene so you can see how it looks in a pic! That will also help (well, I find it helpful at least :-D ).

Susofrick,

Thanks! I agree.

If the figures have bases (like some of mine), then I may have to put them on first and "build up" around them.

But in the future I plan to not use bases.

Thanks for your great help!
